AFK is a freebie store Lance and Adina manage. It was created because many newcomers to Second Life lack essentials (clothing, gadgets, vehicles) and often do not have the Lindens to buy what they need.
There are a number of Freebie stores in Second Life, but because Lance and Adina highly value their fans, AFK is just one more way they show their appreciation.
Also located at AFK is Lance's Toys. Lance loves gadgets, and his toy store has many of his favorites for sale.
